Design for Laser Cutting

Files

Please send us .ai, .dxf or .svg files.
Lines

All lines need to be set to 0.001mm thickness.

Black lines are cut.
Red lines are etched
Filled areas are engraved light, medium or heavy.

Kerf

The laser's cut is 0.4 mm thick and follows the line you've drawn.

So if you need an accurate part, don't forget to offset your lines 0.2mm to account for Kerf.

Text

Convert your text to outlines or paths. In Adobe Illustrator, this is the "expand" function.

Don't forget to set your paths to 0.001mm thick!

Overlapping Lines

The laser follows every line drawn, including overlapped lines!

This costs more because it takes longer. It will also char your edges.

Slots
Some materials, like Acrylic, are not an even thickness.

Use tabs and notches to make sure they slot together well.
